Based on the fashions of the 1980’s, this easy to knit wrist or elbow length Shrug, is perfect for both evening and daytime wear and light enough to keep the chill off your doll’s shoulders. Using #5 Cotton Yarn and knitted all-in-one, the Shrug has fine K1,P1 ribbed cuffs topped with evenly spaced ribbon holes, while the lacy body of the Shrug is knitted in an easy diagonally ridged pattern. To finish, pretty satin ribbon is threaded through the ribbon holes and tied in bows in the Center Front of the Cuffs.
This PDF knitting pattern is designed to fit 18-inch soft-bodied dolls such as American Girl®.
