Let s talk about – Sewing Costumes!
I thought it would be fun to explore the fun and creative ways to make a variety of costumes using basic sewing patterns. Throughout this course, we will touch on sewing with different fabric types and explore a variety of sewing techniques. It will be a hands-on way to learn new things and to put into practice some of the things demonstrated in other SWC topics.
I ll be demonstrating these techniques while walking you through a variety of video tutorials.
Over this 4-part course we will cover:
- A basic Princess dress costume. This can be the base of your costume and will really come together once paired with all the added accessories and embellishments.
- A darling Flower costume! This section includes a full tutorial and pattern for making the flower headpiece.
- Fun with cotton candy – in this section we take a look at the basic bag-style costume and explore options to turn it into other cute costumes. Follow along as I demonstrate how to make the cotton candy modification.
- Finish the look with a treat bag! This section includes two complete tutorial videos showing you how to make the pumpkin and princess treat bags (pattern available separately). One basic style rectangular treat bag tutorial is included.
