Description

I’ll never forget the trip we made to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. All the Bavarian towns we visited were so charming. The shops were full of cuckoo clocks and delicate chocolates. The restaurants each had a huge variety of local ales. I especially enjoyed seeing the tour guides dressed in their dirndls. There were so many styles, each one special. And, of course, the hills were alive with music and cows with little bells, but we didn’t see any of the iconic Edelweiss.
That trip was the inspiration for this sweet Bavarian-style embroidery design set. The designs are custom made to fit the FROG Princess Fashions Edelweiss Dress Set, but can also be used on other 18” doll clothing items. The set of nine designs includes:
• 2 apron skirts, large and small designs
• the dress bodice front
• the dress bodice backs
• the sleeve designs
• the skirt design
• skirt design with no pattern cut lines
• bodice design without pattern cut lines
Embroider one design or all of them to make the look your own.

Please note that some designs such as the skirt Edelweiss with no cut lines and the bodice Edelweiss with no cut lines are small enough for a 4×4 hoop, but the majority require a 5×7 hoop or larger. Two designs, the sleeves, and the skirt, require an 8×12 hoop with the pattern piece cut lines, but can be made with the 4×4 Edelweiss on your own pattern piece. It’s your choice.

4×4 Hoops and larger* (some designs fit 8×12 and multihoop machines only; to make these in smaller hoops, select design without stitch lines)

DST, EXP, HUS, JEF, PCS, PEC, PES, SHV, VIP, VP3, XXX,+ others available upon request

Additional Supplies Needed:
Fabrics
Best with light to medium-weight woven fabrics*
(*very lightweight fabrics may need fusible interfacing, but samples were stitched using only light starch)
Notions
Polyester or rayon embroidery threads in the three design colors:
• Red
• White
• Green
• New, sharp, size 11 needle

• Thread to blend with your fabric for pattern cut lines
• Frog Princess Fashions Edelweiss Dress PDF Sewing Pattern or your own choice of 18” doll clothing
• durable tear away stabilizer

What You Get: Nine embroidery machine digitized designs in 10 file formats. You will receive an instant download zipped file that contains a folder with each of the file formats listed above. Each file format is conveniently saved in its own separate folder for easy use. You need to be able to unzip the zipped file to use it. You must have an embroidery machine and know how to transfer the file to your machine in order to use this.
