Yarn:

• 200 m or 220 yds of double knitting (DK) yarn **Note: synthetic yarns were used for the pattern prototypes. These generally have more yardage per ball than wool and wool blends. Pay attention to yardage when purchasing yarn for this project!

• Additional Supplies:

  • 3 mm (US size 3) knitting needles, straight or circular, or size needed to obtain gauge
  • 3 mm (US size 3) set of 4 double pointed (or circular knitting needles if using magic loop method of knitting in the round), or size needed to obtain gauge
  • tapestry needle
  • 5 buttons (11 to 13 mm or 3 8-to-1 2-inch diameter)
  • stitch markers (optional)
